Use of Robotic Equipment Expanding in Demolition Industry

There are many factors in the demolition industry that can limit equipment access and pose physical hazards and health risks to workers.  With considerable advances being made in robotic technology, use of remote-control demolition equipment is on the rise.

Demolition robots are extremely versatile and hold many advantages over traditional machinery and hand-operated tools.  Demolition robots can be fitted with various attachments such as hydraulic breakers, crushers, buckets, grapples, scabblers, and drilling equipment.  These remotely-controlled machines have the ability to venture into confined spaces or otherwise hard-to-access areas and minimize exposure to hazardous materials and other safety risks.  They are compact, powerful, highly efficient, and are particularly effective for interior and selective demolition applications.  Unlike fuel-powered vehicles, demolition robots operate electrically operated, and thus emission-free, allowing for safe use in occupied facilities.
