Compact Boom Lifts Fit Through Standard Doorways

Compact Boom Lifts Fit Through Standard Doorways

R. Baker & Son occasionally encounters a situation on an interior rigging project in which a boom lift is needed to perform the job, but access is limited by narrow entryways, gates and hallways. Several manufacturers like JLG and Teupen have come up with an effective solution with compact crawler boom lifts that can fit through a standard doorway.

On one recent project at a large, recently-completed manufacturing facility, R. Baker & Son was tasked with rigging a large mobile and various other artwork in a soaring glass atrium. Because the only access points were standard-size double doors, a Teupen LEO23GT was brought in to complete the installation. The lift, seventy-seven inches high and three feet wide in its compact state, unfolded to a working height of 75 ft. and a weight capacity of 440 lbs. Our client, recognizing the future need for equipment of this type for lighting repair, seasonal decorations, etc., purchased their own compact lift to be kept in a storage room onsite.
