R. Baker & Son - Facility of the Year Award (FOYA)
R. Baker & Son All Industrial Services, a premier rigging, dismantlement, plant relocation and demolition contractor, has once again had the honor of working on a Facility of the Year Award (FOYA) winning project. Merck and Co.'s Global Clinical Supply Facility project in Summit, NJ, has been named the 2011 Facility of the Year award winner for "Facility Integration". This is the third time in four years that R. Baker & Son has contributed to a FOYA-winning project.
The Facility of the Year Awards, sponsored by ISPE, INTERPHEX and Pharmaceutical Processing, honor the year's best new and renovated, state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities worldwide. The award-winning project at Merck (formerly Schering-Plough) involved the construction of a new modular pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. R. Baker & Son worked closely with a large, well-coordinated project team to develop an effective, innovative plan, and efficiently, safely and successfully received, rigged and installed the Pharmadule modular units into place.
Congratulations to Merck, and to the entire design and build team, for their remarkable achievement. R. Baker & Son is pleased to have been given the opportunity to take part in this outstanding project.

R. Baker & Son maintains an award winning team of in-house full time safety and project managers, all of whom have a minimum of 20 years industry experience. Project managers, foremen and field personnel are 40 to 60-hours OSHA and Hazmat trained and certified. Additional training and certifications include but are not limited to; aerial lift, fork lift, crane, heavy equipment, confined space entry, respiratory protection, emergency response, first aid and CPR.
